Since recent decades there has been observed a rapid evolution in instrumental techniques and consistently attracted researchers from various domains to harness their capabilities in solving the plethora of challenges of modern instrumental technology in rock and mineral analysis. This edition of the book has illustrated the instrumental analysis of rocks and minerals principally by atomic absorption spectroscopy and X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy. The special attention has been delivered in the consideration of new advances in sampling theory, and the discussions of standard reference materials and of sample decomposition techniques.
The organization of the book has emphasized on the rich array of analytical methodology and represented in a simplest possible way.
